Harry is the founder, CEO, and lead engineer at Open Medical. He is passionate about all things digital, specifically designing effective and safe clinical pathways, data analysis, and artificial intelligence. Harry is a skilled and innovative software developer and practicing orthopedic surgeon.

He became interested in software at the age of 12, and sold his first program at the age of 14. At the age of 19 he started studying medicine at the University of Leicester while maintaining programming as a hobby.

After completing his medical training as an orthopedic surgeon, he eventually wrote grassroots software and Open Medical was founded a few years later. He believes it is important to stay close to the users and, therefore, is still practicing clinically.

Merging his extensive background in the NHS together with his passion for software engineering led to the development of Pathpoint.

Michael is an industry leader and surgeon with over 15 years of experience in healthcare, including positions in both the public and private sectors.

Over his career, Michael developed an excellent understanding of the difficulties in implementing technology into healthcare. He is not only aware of the financial and corporate challenges; he also understands the technological difficulties in developing digital solutions that genuinely work for patients and medical professionals alike.

He's been at the forefront of collaborations with healthcare providers, clinical teams, and even academic circles, all aimed at enhancing digital health services. Michael's approach is all about teamwork. He believes in working collaboratively with both the public sector and industry partners to foster relationships that promote innovation in the sector. Currently, Michael serves as a Member of the Board of Directors and Vice Chair for the ABHI Digital Health group.

His leadership has been pivotal in scaling Open Medical from a startup to a leading digital health company and consulting service. His dual passion for clinical care and digital innovation drives him to push for advancements that promise better patient care through technology.

Michael is deeply invested in exploring new healthcare technologies and clinical patient pathways. He champions the use of data to advance healthcare and is keen on developing digital solutions that are backed by solid evidence. His skills in strategy, leadership, and collaboration have been shaped by his experiences as a doctor, educator, and researcher, with a strong focus on driving the strategic growth of digital health.

Dorota is an NHS orthopedic practitioner by background and has a deep, firsthand understanding of the crucial role efficient operations play in healthcare.

Dorota is the kind of person who thrives in the eye of the storm, and at Open Medical, she's found a dynamic environment that matches her fast-paced approach. She's adaptable, practical, and able to steer the ship smoothly, no matter how choppy the waters. She's not just part of the team; she's a pillar of stability and a master problem-solver in tough times.

When she's not busy helping us navigate healthcare's challenges, Dorota leads an energetic life. She's into Muay Thai boxing and various sports, but also knows how to slow down with some gardening and a good book. She's always on the lookout for new ways to grow and learn.

Dorota's passion, resilience, and dedication have been at the heart of our growth and development.

Piyush has a passion for fixing things that are broken. This led him to pursue a medical career and become a trauma and orthopedic surgeon, helping to fix broken bones and restoring mobility and livelihoods. He’s always wanted to create a greater impact, which led him to establish a specialist education company aimed at training the next generation of orthopedic surgeons.

He believes that technology can enable progress and he has presented and published widely on the use of digital technology and robotics to drive healthcare delivery and orthopedic surgery further.

At Open Medical, Piyush is a key figure in driving sustainable digital transformation at scale across a number of global healthcare systems. As well as leadership responsibilities, he retains a keen interest in product development, ensuring that we continue to solve real problems.

He has successfully secured funding for a large number of innovation projects via funding bodies, such as Innovate UK.

He also provides mentorship for clinical innovators through his role on the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur program and is happy to share advice and insights.

Ayman Ababneh is the General Manager, MENA at Open Medical, where he leads regional growth and delivery of the company’s healthcare digital solutions, including the state-of-the-art Ensiab platform. With 17+ years of experience spanning healthcare technology, commercial strategy, and business innovation, he supports providers in turning digital transformation initiatives into measurable operational and clinical outcome improvements. Ayman holds a PhD in Strategic Management and Innovation and a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He is known for go-to-market leadership, building strategic partnerships, and developing high-performing teams - driving sustainable market expansion across the Middle East and North Africa.

Mohamed Abdelghaffar is the Clinical Solutions Lead for the Middle East at Open Medical, bringing with him over a decade of experience across clinical practices, digital health and healthcare innovation.

Originally trained in neurosurgery and a graduate of Imperial College London, he combines deep clinical insights with a strong understanding of health technologies. Mohamed has led international teams, secured competitive government innovation funding such as InnovateUK, developed patented AI technologies, and worked with healthcare providers across the UK and MENA to deliver clinically meaningful, scalable digital solutions.

At Open Medical, Mohamed plays a key role in shaping regional strategy, ensuring the deployment of digital solutions which bring improvements in efficiency, quality and patient outcomes. He believes that sustainable healthcare transformation depends on close collaboration between clinicians, technologies and healthcare systems.
